Eskbank, Midlothian

Our client’s have a beautiful period property in a mature, scenic street in Eskbank which they’d renovated so gorgeously.

They tasked us with designing and creating a front garden to match.

We chose a stunning flamed Sandstone paving from Globalstone with fabulous veining running throughout to create a nice, wide pedestrian access path and tied in with a matching cobble to the edges which we also used to trim the driveway. We created a generous step below their timber porch with the same Sandstone paving and reclaimed stone to form the riser.

We installed EccoGravel 40 to the driveway to give a traditional finish which is free draining and in keeping with the aesthetic of the surroundings.

We kept the planting super simple with taxus baccata hedging intended to be trained to form a clipped low level formal edge to the planting areas and used a limited pallet of planting to the borders.
